Ok, I have had an ALB light coming on for so long that I blew the bulb in the gauge cluster.

My brake computer appears to be working correctly, although I still need to continue checking into it, have to wait as it got dark on me.

Well after doing some searching on here, and reading the online shop manual, I decided why not do a write up, on how to check your ALB LED codes.

This is very simple.

Here it goes.

Get into the passenger side of your car (easier). on the center console, under the radio slot, should be a panel toward the bottom right side, and away from you. remove it, you should see a pink plug not attached to anything. (or at least be able to easily find one) In here you will also see the side of your brake computer.

Image with the location circled(note I don't have the panel to cover it.)

Look at the bracket holding it up, just toward the front of the car, (away from you) of that bracket, you will see a plastic window. This is where the LED is located.

Now insert the key of your car, and turn it to the run position. DO NOT START THE CAR. Wait 10 seconds, If you get nothing more than a weak blip, then your ALB computer needs checked or you have no problems. Otherwise it will blink the code in a 2 part sequence. For example 5 rapid, 1 second pause, then 2 rapid.
If there are other problems, there will be a 5 second pause, one flash, then another 5 second pause, to display the next code. The computer can store and display only up to 3 codes at one time.

Here is the list of possible codes. I just copied the pages from the manual to make it easier to understand. remember the second set will follow only one second after the first for each problem. The next code will follow the 5 pause, 1 flash, 5 pause wait.

The note on the bottom of the last page is good to read ^^^

These lights will help you narrow down the reason for your problem, work with them and the manual, you should be able to at the least, have a solid idea of where to look, or what to tell your mechanic to look for, when your ALB light comes on.
