This is a write up on how to change your standard red door lights to something
that better suits your interior colour's. Seeing as the standard third gen instrument
lights are blue/green I figured I should change the red door lights to better suit.

You need a soldering iron and some transparent coloured paint. For this i used this blue paint i got from a hobbies store:

Then you need a clear flat piece of plastic. Basically a cassette/tape case but i used an old ferrero rocher chocolate box. Same thing.

Take out your current red light covers. They just pop out. Then use them as a reference size to cut new pieces using the soldering iron and the clear plastic. This takes a while to get it to fit exact. You may also need to sand it a little.

Once you manage fit it you need to paint it. Only paint one side and let it dry for a few hours. Make sure there completely dry before sticking them in. The painted side should face inside so put some clear glue on the edges and stick it in. Use some blue tack to hold it in place while the glue dries.

Easy.
